I already take Glucosamine for my joint pain. Why should I include Chondroitin too?
By Professor Bob on April 29th, 2008While Glucosamine helps rebuild joint cartilage, chondroitin is an important supplement because it is structural component of cartilage and provides much of its resistance to compression, cushioning the joint.
Our body naturally produces glucosamine but as we get older and put wear and tear on the joints, glucosamine does not regenerate itself.
The National Institute of Health recently completed a Glucosamine Arthritis Intervention Trial that found Glucosamine and Chondroitin—at the same levels found in a single bottle of Elations—helped improve joint health for people with moderate-to-severe problems.
