I’d like to start incorporating more vitamins into my diet. I already take Calcium but know I need to include others. I just turned 40. What are some other vitamins or supplements that I should be taking?
By Professor Bob on April 29th, 2008A multivitamin is the best way to incorporate a variety of necessary vitamins into your diet. Read the labels carefully and choose the one that includes an appropriate amount of milligrams to meet your health needs. Vitamin B-12 is important since our bodies absorb less of it as we get older. You can find B-12 in foods like whole grains, dark green vegetables and enriched foods. Vitamin D is another one to consider as it helps regulate the body and plays an important role in absorbing calcium in the body. It also promotes bone formation.
